Privacy policy
Short version: we collect the minimum, sell nothing.
Byline is an AI newsroom service. This page describes exactly what we collect and why. Questions or deletion requests: pras@hellogoddo.com.
What we collect
Your account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile identifiers — nothing else from your Google account. We use it to identify your newsroom and never for marketing.
The sites you submit. When you run a recon or a full cycle, we fetch publicly accessible pages of the URL you give us (honoring robots.txt), and build a dossier, a voice card and written pieces from them.
Operational data. IP addresses (rate-limit abuse protection only) and aggregate, non-identifying traffic analytics via Vercel Analytics.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent or trade your data. We do not email you unless you asked us to. We do not use your submitted content to train foundation models. Google user data obtained through sign-in is used solely to operate your account and is not transferred to third parties except as required to provide the service.
Where data lives
Application data is stored in a managed Supabase Postgres database. Pieces, dossiers and voice cards for your company are visible only to you and to the Byline operator.
Deletion
Email pras@hellogoddo.com from your account address and we will delete your company record, generated pieces and personal data within 7 days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will note it on this page before it takes effect.
